SAFARI SEPTEMBER 17TH - OCTOBER 1ST, 2026

DAY 12: MEET THE K9 UNIT ANTI-POACHING TEAM

After an exciting early morning game drive on this stunning reserve join up with the specialized K9 anti-poaching unit and meet the four legged heroes who work tirelessly to protect the reserves wildlife. Experience behind the scenes access to the dogs and their handlers as you watch training demonstrations and learn about the specialized skills these talented canines possess and the remarkable role they play in wildlife protection. This unique experience offers insight into the innovative approaches being used in modern conservation. Spend the afternoon relaxing before a late afternoon game drive and final magical bush dinner!

Day 1: ARRIVAL INTO CAPE TOWN

After your arrival into Cape Town airport you will be met by your personal safari host and wildlife veterinarian Dr Sally Armstrong. Sally will transport you to the beautiful winery region of Stellenbosch where you settle into your accomodation and enjoy a welcome dinner with the group.

Day 2: AFRICAN PET HEALTH SUMMIT CONFERENCE

After a scrumptious breakfast meet some of the world's most respected veterinarians as you settle into a full day of interactive conference presentations ending the day with an exclusive cocktail event.

Day 3: AFRICAN PET HEALTH SUMMIT CONFERENCE DAY 2

Immerse yourself in a full day of informative conference presentations and activities at this stunning venue in the wine lands with some of the world's leading integrative veterinarians.

Day 4: AFRICAN PET HEALTH SUMMIT CONFERENCE DAY 3

Settle into the final day of conference presentations and enjoy a delicious dinner before preparing for a day exploring some of Cape Towns best vineyards and sampling some of the countries best wine!

Day 5: WINERY TOURS AND TASTINGS

After a comprehensive 3 day conference prepare for a day of relaxation and fun as we tour the best wineries this world class wine region has to offer. Indulge in premium wine tastings with your personal guide and enjoy a delicious gourmet lunch. We depart Stellenbosch in the late afternoon and check into our guesthouse in Cape Town ready for 3 days of sight seeing in this spectacular and very scenic city! 

DAY 6: ENDANGERED PENGUINS AND CAPE POINT TOUR

Visit Boulders Beach home to the only colony of endangered South African Penguins before stopping for lunch at a popular restaurant by the ocean. After lunch continue to the beautiful Cape Point Nature Reserve along Cape Towns wild and rugged coastline where you can expect to see some of the local wildlife inhabitants. Along the way visit an ostrich farm before heading out for a delicious dinner at a popular restaurant.

Day 7: TABLE MOUNTAIN AND VICTORIA AND ALFRED WATERFRONT

Today we will drive along some of the world's most scenic coastline en-route to the world famous Table Mountain. We then ride up to the peak of the mountain in the cable car which provides some stunning photo opportunities as you are provided with a 360 degree aerial view of this beautiful city. After some refreshments on the mountain we head back down and head over to the very popular and vibrant Victoria and Alfred waterfront for lunch. Spend the afternoon souvenir shopping, browsing the markets and being entertained by some local talent before enjoying a traditional dinner at a near by African restaurant.

DAY 8: DAY OF OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES AND ADVENTURES

Today is a day of personal preference where you can choose to experience an array of different activities with many options on offer including:

* Ferry tour to Robben Island

* Cape Town City Hop on Hop off Bus Tour

* Visit and picnic at Kirstenbosch gardens

* Scenic hike to Silvermine Dam 

* Guided kayak tour

* Horseriding on the beach 

* Shark Cage Diving
* Diving amongst the kelp forests

* Local township tour 

* Afternoon Tea at Mount Nelson Hotel

* Visit to the famous 'Cat Cafe.'

DAY 9: EASTERN CAPE ELEPHANT CONSERVATION ENCOUNTER

Depart Cape Town on a morning flight and arrive in Port Elizabeth where we travel through the countryside to meet rescued bull elephants Duma, Thaba and Mukwa at Addo elephant lodge. Speak to their passionate carers and hear the story about their rescue before joining these gentle giants for a guided walk on the nature reserve. Spend the afternoon relaxing at this beautiful lodge by the pool or at your chalet in the forest before feasting on a delicious dinner in the main restaurant. 

DAY 10 : RHINO COLLARING AND VISIT TO RHINO ORPHANAGE

Today we depart from the Eastern Cape and board a morning flight to Durban in KZN province. We then travel by road to a five star lodge and after settling into our luxurious accomodation we have lunch and depart for an exciting afternoon game drive where you are sure to spot a number of different wildlife species on this big 5 reserve. At dinner you will receive a presentation on rhino conservation by the reserve's wildlife veterinarian and be briefed on the following days exciting rhino conservation activity!

 

DAY 11: PANGOLIN TRACKING AND ZULU CULTURAL COMMUNITY VISIT

 After an early morning game drive enjoy a hearty breakfast at the lodge before visiting a nearby village where you will be introduced to traditional Zulu culture by your personal guide. Learn about their fascinating culture and customs and meet the local witch doctor before stopping at a local craft market. After this very interesting tour enjoy lunch at the lodge before heading out on a late afternoon game drive and joining the reserves ecologist in monitoring and tracking of one the worlds most endangered and trafficked creatures, the pangolin! Follow their tracks and gain insight into the pangolin's behavior, diet and the conservation strategies these conservationists employ in order to aid in the survival of this very vulnerable species. This unique experience offers you a very rare glimpse into the life of these very elusive creatures in their natural environment.

    • If you would like to extend your trip and stay longer in Cape Town at your own cost, recommendations and assistance with bookings and transfers will be  provided at no additional cost. An IATA certified travel agent is also available to assist with international flights 
    • Wildlife and weather are unpredictable therefore wildlife and veterinary procedures may not follow the exact schedule and some procedures might have to be abandoned due to weather or uncontrollable circumstances.
    • Your participation in these safaris fund life saving veterinary and conservation procedures 
    • A 25 % deposit is required to secure your booking and the balance of payment is required 3 months prior to safari start date. Please note all deposits are non - refundable.
